Are you interested in home schooling your child this year? There will be a welcome back picnic for the AGAPE LEAH Homeschool group on Monday, Aug. 7, at Marvin Park from 4 to 8 p.m. All are invited to attend and meet other families with the same vision to home school their family.
There is swimming available at the pool, playground fun, and bring a dish to pass and your table service for your family. Dinner will be served from 6 to 6:45 p.m., followed by ice cream social time.
The membership informational meeting will follow from 7 to 8 p.m., and membership applications will be available.
LEAH stands for Loving Education At Home and is a statewide group offering support services to families who home school in New York State. Agape LEAH of Tioga County is one chapter in New York State that offers support.
Total dues to belong are $35 for the year; $30 goes to state fee and $5 for local chapter dues.
