The Candor Community Chorus presents their Independence Day concert, “Seize the Day”, on Saturday, July 1, at 7 p.m. in the Candor High School Auditorium, Academy Street.
The program celebrates America’s Independence through a mix of folk, gospel and patriotic music that will set your spirit soaring. The chorus will present some old favorites with a new twist and some Broadway tunes to hum for the rest of the evening.
In keeping with a tradition started a couple years ago, the chorus will honor our servicemen and women with a “Tribute to the Armed Services”, a selection that includes the official songs of the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard.
Jewel Griffith directs the program accompanied by Brenda Yeier on the piano. Admission is free, and donations are gratefully accepted.
