These two dogs arrived at Animal Care Sanctuary (ACS) last Thursday, all the way from South Korea. ACS is currently working with HSUS and the Humane Society International on rescuing dogs from a dog meat farm.
Taran and Lirim, pictured, were the first two to arrive at the ACS facility. Due to lack of friendly human interaction, the boys are pretty shy when it comes to new people.
The two spent the weekend in the community clinic, just getting used to being touched and having someone around them. They are now in the kennel and will continue their socialization. The canine care staff at ACS will also work on leash walking and other skills.
The dogs would love to find a quiet foster home where they could continue learning about life as a companion dog. If you are interested in fostering or adopting, visit www.animalcaresanctuary.org, or call (570) 596-2200.
