On Dec. 18, 2016, at about 6:35 a.m., New York State Police at Endwell arrested Briana J. Winchester, 26, of Endwell, N.Y. for the felony of Driving While Intoxicated and several other traffic violations.
This arrest occurred after troopers located an unoccupied 2016 Toyota Highlander that had crashed on the George F. Highway in the Town of Union. Winchester, who was the driver, was located shortly after she had fled the scene on foot.
According to police, an investigation determined that she was driving while intoxicated. This arrest was a felony because Winchester has a prior conviction for DWI within the last 10 years. She refused to submit to a breath test to determine her B.A.C.
Winchester was arraigned in the Town of Union Court and was released without bail required. Her next court date is pending.
