The Owego Apalachin (OA) School District announced on Wednesday that work would begin Thursday, Sept. 15, on the reconstruction of Sheldon Guile Boulevard on the OA School’s main campus.
Beginning Thursday, there will be one-way traffic flowing on the district’s main campus in the direction from George Street to Route 96 (out past the transportation facility). There will be one lane open at all times and the contractor is aware of the bus schedule.
The expected schedule for reconstruction includes two days milling off the entire pavement. Afterward will come the base stabilization and then the final stage.
The estimate was given that the project will be completed in three weeks or fewer.
