Early last week, the owner of Owego’s Soft Serve, located on Route 96, was asked about hosting a surprise Owego Free Academy 2016 Senior Class ‘Ice cream Sundae Stop’ on their return trip home from their class picnic at Taughannock State Park.

With about ten prearranged volunteers and lots of extra Hot Fudge, Strawberries and other delectable toppings on hand, the ice cream shop was ready and waiting as three busloads of the nicest students and staff pulled in.

After a day filled with showers as well as sunshine, the clouds parted and the sun was shining brightly as everyone enjoyed ice cream and fellowship at Owego Soft Serve’s Ice Cream Park at their Route 96 location.

Owner Rick Fiacco stated, “I was so proud of these wonderfully gracious, kind students, our school district and our community.”
