It is a busy time for Player Agent Eric Hawkins. His top priority is to get All Star ballots to all American and National League players to vote for 10U and 12U tournament teams and finalize the 2016 Owego Baseball Tournament paperwork and send it out to neighboring leagues to start this planning.
Dates for the post season Hyde Park Tournaments are as follows: 12U from Monday, June 27 through Sunday, July 10, with no games on Independence Day on Monday, July 4; and 10U from Monday, July 11 through Sunday, July 24.
VP Girls Softball President Dave York reports that the new Dick Franz Girls Softball field is being played on daily. The new dirt continues to settle in. Maintenance is required to keep the low spots evened out, as with any new field.
There have been many compliments on how nice the field is to play on.
Teener Softball Girls are starting to play more often as the school schedule slows down.
