The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce a new service available to the citizens of Tioga County. Effective Feb. 5, a new Medication Drop Box will be available to facilitate the disposal of unwanted prescription and non-prescription medications.
The box is located in the main lobby of the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office at 103 Corporate Dr., Owego, N.Y. The drop box is available Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Needles, lancets, other “sharps” and liquids are not accepted. Information is available in the lobby and a list of locations throughout Tioga and Broome Counties that do accept needles is included.
