Courtship Tails at the Binghamton Zoo

Have you ever wondered how a red panda chooses its mate or how a penguin shows love to its other half? Visit Courtship Tails at the Binghamton Zoo to learn about these and other unique mating rituals of animals at our zoo and around the world.

Courtship Tails is a humorous adult-only Valentine’s Day event held at the Binghamton Zoo that highlights animal rituals in courtship and mating. Couples will be escorted by a tour guide throughout the zoo in heated vans, all while talking about courtship displays and amusing animal mating facts. Stops at Wolf Woods and Woodland Waters will allow guests to enjoy coffee, desserts, and wine tasting. Each tour will go on a special behind-the-scenes stop to visit the leopard and otters along the way.

Tours will be held on Feb. 13 and 14, at 10:30 a.m., noon, 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. Each tour lasts approximately an hour and a half and includes the guided tour, behind the scenes visits, food, drinks, a commemorative framed photo to take home, and a $40 Michelangelo’s gift certificate to enjoy a relaxing dinner with your sweetheart (certificates valid through the end of February).

Reservations are required for Courtship Tails. Tickets are $125 for non-member couples and $110 for member couples. Guests must be 21 years or older. Limited walking will be required, but they encourage you to dress warm. Only 32 spots are available, so call the Binghamton Zoo at (607) 724-5461 x235 to make your reservation today.
