Candor thanks community for successful holiday parade

The Candor community wants to extend a thank you for the outpouring of support and participation in Candor’s 1st Annual Holiday Parade. There were 13 floats, along with the Community Chorus and folks leading the way with Christmas Carols, a horse drawn wagon bringing Santa and Mrs. Claus to town, and fire trucks from Candor and Waverly ending the parade.

The Grinch snuck in the middle of the parade as well! The streets were lined and a very special thanks is extended to the Candor Ambulance Squad for the use of their building and their helping hands.

Mark your calendars for the next holiday parade planned for Nov. 26, 2016, and be sure to bring a holiday float.

The parade was sponsored by the Candor Squadron #907 and the Sons of the American Legion (with a little help from their friends). The organizers are looking forward to planning next year’s parade.

Meetings will start in the spring and if you are interested, call 659-7395 and leave your name and email / cell number.
