In a message, Murcko wrote, “I love this life and this land. (Thank you to those of you who have served our country so that we can live in it and be free.) I was born and raised in a small town in upstate New York, called Johnson City. My heart for people and my love for making a difference in this world has driven me to push myself to my limits. I work as a caregiver and I am enrolled as a Senior Student Nurse. Through this career path I have been given many chances in the medical field to take care of people who are ill and need daily support. I love what I do! To me, when someone is sick or struggling and has lost all of their hope, it is a beautiful thing to be part of those last moments even if it means just making them smile one last time and helping them to maintain their dignity. I also volunteer through local churches in community outreach programs for those in need in my community.”
