Obituary – Thomas J. Foster, age 87

Thomas J. Foster, 87, of Owego and formerly of Scranton, Pa. passed away on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015. He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Robert Foster; and by his first wife, Barbara, mother of his three daughters.

Tom (Tucker) is survived by his wife, Beverly; his daughters: Karen (Dale); Janine (Billy); and Lynne (Mike). He is survived by a brother, Robert (Evelyn); sister, Joanne (James) and his extended family – Michael (Tracy); Patrick (Mary); Kelly (Charlie); numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews – he loved them all.

Tom served in the Air Force during World War II. For many years, he managed two golf clubs to include Vestal Hills Country Club in Binghamton, New York and the Newton Country Club in New Jersey. Following retirement, Tom owned and operated a fishing camp in Florida. He loved golf, fishing, and hunting and was a marksman for Picatinny Arsenal where he won many awards. He was also an accomplished woodworker and artist.

At his request there were no calling hours. Family and friends were invited to attend a memorial service that was held on Monday, Nov. 23, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Union Church in Owego, N.Y. Memories and condolences may be shared by visiting www.sutfinfuneralchapel.com.
