State Police arrest Johnson City woman who unlawfully possessed heroin and resisted being arrested

Melissa A. Goodrich, 26, of Johnson City, N.Y.

On July 22, 2015, at about 2:30 p.m., New York State Police in Endwell arrested Melissa A. Goodrich, 26, of Johnson City, N.Y. for the misdemeanors of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th, Resisting Arrest and Obstructing Governmental Administration.

This arrest occurred after Troopers responded to a Broome County 911 report of a dispute at home on Oakdale Road in the Town of Union. During the investigation Goodrich was found to unlawfully possess a small amount of heroin.

While being arrested she became agitated and physically resisted, attempting to run away, according to police. Goodrich was arraigned in the Town of Union Court and remanded to the Broome County Jail with an unknown amount of bail set.
