The Tioga County Department of Social Services (DSS) announced recently that Lauran Murphy had been named Employee of the Third Quarter 2014.
Lauran has been with DSS since February 2005. She started as a Caseworker and was promoted to Senior Caseworker and then to her current position as Senior Caseworker / Staff Development Coordinator.
Lauran was presented with this award because of her outstanding work and contributions to Tioga County DSS. Lauran was recognized for her initiative, efficiency and follow-through. According to DSS, Lauran has a strong work ethic and great attendance. Lauran is extremely dependable and completes a large amount of work in a timely manner.
Lauran was commended for the positive first impression she gives to new hires and interns. Lauran is efficient in arranging training both on-site and out of town. Lauran is responsible for the Agency newsletter and is currently participating in Leadership Tioga. According to DSS, Lauran is very deserving of this award.
