Owego Police Department Report

The Owego Police Department reported that during the week of Sept. 29, 2025 through Oct. 5, 2025 there were 160 calls for service; the department responded to nine motor vehicle accidents, and one traffic ticket was issued. There were two mental health holds reported.

The department also reported the following arrests:

A juvenile, age 12, of Owego, N.Y., was arrested for conspiracy in the fifth degree (misdemeanor) following an investigation of burglary at the laundromat on North Avenue. The juvenile was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Tioga County Probation.

A juvenile, age 14, of Owego, N.Y., was arrested for burglary in the third degree (D felony) following an investigation of burglary at the laundromat on North Avenue. The juvenile was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Tioga County Probation.

A juvenile (2nd), age 14, of Owego, N.Y., was arrested for burglary in the third degree (D felony), following an investigation of burglary at the laundromat on North Avenue. The (additional) juvenile was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Tioga County Probation.

Justin J. Leyden, 37, Owego, N.Y., was arrested for petit larceny (misdemeanor) following an investigation of shoplifting at CVS on Park Street. Leyden was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Village of Owego Court.
