A homecoming parade from the Owego Police Department to Owego Free Academy will begin this Saturday’s Hometown Tailgate festivities. The parade will start at 11 a.m., and the tailgate will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Owego Free Academy.
There will be food, local vendors, games, and music keeping the party going before the kickoff of the game versus Waverly at 1 p.m., with the pregame starting at 12:45 p.m.
New this year, the River Hawks cross country team will be carrying the homecoming ball 20 miles from Waverly to Owego. The relay will start Friday at 10:15 a.m. at Waverly High School, coming through Owego from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.
