On Wednesday, May 26, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., an annual fundraising pasta event will benefit Catholic Charities of Tompkins / Tioga. The Tioga Pasta Dinner, the biggest fundraiser for the organization in Tioga County, will take place at the Elks Lodge, located at 223 Front St. in Owego.
According to the organizers of the event, 2020 was an extraordinary year with many challenges, but Catholic Charities of Tompkins / Tioga never stopped serving the community.
“The event is to help them continue their work in Tioga County,” stated an organizer in a recent press release.
Because of restrictions, this cannot be a sit down dinner; instead, takeout meals will be available for guests. Owego’s Town Supervisor, Don Castellucci, will be the guest chef for this event.
There is no charge for the dinner, but organizers are asking guests to donate generously. All proceeds will support Catholic Charities’ work in Tioga County.
