OWEGO — Tioga Arts Council (TAC) is delighted to present What’s Up is Down: The Walk-Up Gallery Artists’ Recent Work at TAC. This new group exhibit opened Sept. 4 at 179 Front St. from 5 – 8 p.m. Music generously performed by Meredith Bocek, and an Artist Talk will take place at 6:15 p.m. Join us!
Carolyn Campbell, Suzanne M. Lachman, and Alice Mischke are makers of colorful and singular creations. Together, they transform the gallery located on the 2nd floor at 179 Front St., Owego, NY, and invite all to walk-up and enjoy their latest work. Carolyn Campbell creates quilts and wall hangings. Suzanne M. Lachman creates oil paintings and collages. Alice Mischke paints largely in acrylic but works in many media.

The Walk-Up Gallery & Studio Space is an affordable studio rental program for emerging visual artists, performing artists, and writers in Tioga County, NY. Each of the 100-200 SF semi-private studio spaces shares a common space, kitchenette and bathroom facility with other creatives, providing opportunities for collaboration, socialization, learning and skill sharing above a public gallery space. This project was made possible with a grant from the Community Fund of the Community Foundation for South Central New York.
