Glass painting class fundraiser for Rise taking place on February 11


Chase away the winter blues and join Classy Glass By Anita for “Rise & Paint” on Monday, Feb. 11, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at California Grill in Vestal. Rise & Paint is a glass painting class fundraiser to benefit Rise Comprehensive Domestic Violence Services. Proceeds from this class will benefit Rise.

The class begins at 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 11 at the California Grill located at 921 Vestal Parkway in Vestal, N.Y. The cost for the class is $35 per person. Participants may choose to paint two wine glasses, two votive candleholders or a vase for the same price. All instructions and supplies are included with your fee. The design chosen for this class is “hearts on the vine”.

Rise, you beginning! Has offered comprehensive domestic violence services since 1979. Located in Binghamton, they assist families experiencing or threatened with domestic violence in the Southern Tier. Their services include a residential program, advocacy and counseling. Local artist Anita Martin owns classy Glass by Anita. She specializes in hand-painted original designs on anything glass. Her passion is teaching people to paint on glass.
