Employees of New York State Electric and Gas and Coughlin & Gerhart, LLP deliver donated toys to The Family and Children’s Society.
Employees of NYSEG and Coughlin & Gerhart, as part of the Binghamton area’s ‘Employees Booster Club’, purchased and wrapped hundreds of gifts; including games, toys and winter clothing for children in need.
The local event was organized by NYSEG in partnership with its parent company, AVANGRID, Inc. (NYSE: AGR) and its majority shareowner, the Iberdrola Group.
The companies teamed up with The Family and Children’s Society to identify 100 families in need. Employees then selected the names of children along with their Christmas wish lists and purchased the items.
The Family and Children’s Society, which provides counseling and care services to local families, received the presents last week and will distribute them to the children.
NYSEG has participated in this toy drive for nearly 30 years.
