I haven’t seen the neglected cow on Fairfield Road in months. I wonder if she finally died. That would be blessing for her, unfortunately the young steer is still there. I wonder how long he will survive.

The article in Friday’s Press and Sun Bulletin released good news for employees at Sanmina Corporation in Owego. As a long time ex-employee of Sanmina, I feel for these employees that they are now laying off. Many employees of Sanmina were laid off on Thursday, about 60 temporary workers; by March 7, another 166 will be laid off and the remaining 113 looks grim, the paper said. The previous owner, Hadco Corporation, never had a lay off when they owned and ran the printed circuit board business. Sanmina has had around 35 layoffs since they bought the business and ran it over the years. Hadco, in my opinion, was run superbly. I won’t mention my opinion how it has been ran after that. Many regular employees have not seen a raise in 10 years or more. I think it boils down to management, loyalty to employees, forced overtime, etc.

To the person who does not understand what Happy Holidays means, you are scaring me and everyone else in this country. Happy Holidays means have a great holiday season for other religions that are not Christian, because there are other religions that are not Christian. Look around and get out of your house and talk to other people.

I’m trying to find someone who can tear down a singlewide trailer from the 60’s, and if so, how much would it be? Could you please give some information in this column?

FEMA is willing to give the Village of Owego $3 million to build an energy efficient Department of Public Works, as well as a Clerk Treasurer’s office on Prospect Street. I think the people who are complaining about that ought to think about the savings that the village could incur with the energy savings. Those people who are complaining the loudest really should be paying their taxes. They’re in the paper for not paying taxes. They’re complaining on Facebook. They really ought to ante up.

I don’t think the people who do not pay their taxes should be complaining about the Village Board wanting to build a new building, which will cost the village taxpayers nothing.

I wish Senator Fred Akshar would show more interest in finding another company to move into the Sanmina plant when it closes. He’s more interested in spending big amounts of money on opioid treatment and finding facilities to house them.

I would just like to say that with all the bad press teenagers get today, there is a group that I see every week at Dunkin Donuts in Owego at 6:30 in the morning having a bible study, with what looks like a couple of young adult leaders. What an amazing thing. Your church should be proud they have such a dedicated group of youth, especially at that hour of the day! Keep up the good work; you are setting an example to us adults.

What a wonderful event the VFW put on this past Saturday for the children. The Christmas Party and movie event was truly amazing! It was my first time attending and I was absolutely in awe of what all of the volunteers put together for the kids. Thank each and every one of you – your efforts do not go unnoticed and the two young girls that met Santa and received a gift were beaming all day. Come to think of it, so was I. Thank you again.

Hey you guys, this is open sexual harassment, big deal right? How about if Mr. Trump puts his hand on Mr. Pence’s leg above the knee on national television during a big meeting about the shut down. I’m not the only one who saw it, but I thought it was comical as hell. Have a great day, Merry Christmas!

Are any other Pennysaver readers having difficulty following the FBI/Clinton scandal? Well it’s massive, and never would have been uncovered had Hillary won. Now it’s clear, it explains their behavior this past year.

Republican politics. Is there any area where the Koch brothers don’t control our Congressman Tom Reed? The Koch brothers want to privatize social security, they want to cut back Medicare and Medicaid to the bone. Call Congressman Reed and ask him whom he works for – the Koch brothers or the taxpayers?

Why does the Democratic Party want to stop the economy from growing? Please, if anyone has the answer, call it into the Pennysaver.

Hey, just a question for all you Trump lovers down there who live in Owego right now. Has Trump made America great yet? It sounds like he’s really been helping out Owego a lot with all these new booming policies. And by the way, a $75 tax cut while he gets himself a $75 million tax cut! That’s okay though, because that’s what you people think.

As anyone with a brain, which excludes the Marxist Democrats can see, the Trump / Russia collusion connection is so much hot air. The Democrat Marxist snowflakes under James Comey have ginned up a Democrat dominated prosecutor nightmare team under do nothing Mueller. Wassermann and Rhee and Ohr should be under investigation for their bias investigation. Mueller, who fired Strzok four months ago, failed to notify the Congressional Oversight Committee. I wonder. An unbiased prosecutor should be appointed to investigate these swamp dwellers, including Mueller. Attorney General Sessions better step up to the job or be fired too.

I am responding to a comment that complained about Obama’s message of Happy Holidays. This person said they didn’t understand what it meant? I am so embarrassed that ignorance and divisiveness has run so rampant. This presidency has opened up the doors to hate and bigotry to people who are Americans from all cultures and beliefs, from all nations and doctrines. The only real American is a Native American. So let me explain now, the reason Obama expressed Happy Holidays is because he included all Americans!

Hey people, what’s going on in this country? You elected Trump, he was going to make it safe, put up our borders and make it a safer country. Now there have been more terrorist attacks and more killings than ever before. What’s going on? I believe you voted for the wrong guy!

All I want for Christmas is that Trump no longer be our idiot in chief who occupies the presidency. He’s a disgrace to our America, so the only choice I can see is to kick him out, lock him up and throw away the key.

Is Cuomo kidding? Can he be serious? He’s encouraging all New York residents to carry Naloxone, the medication that reverses opioid overdoses. He thinks this would help the opioid epidemic. Well don’t count on me. If these addicts want to be saved they must do it themselves.

So yesterday we had a terror attack happening at the Port of Authority. So what does CNN choose to talk about as their top story? How many diet cokes President Trump drinks! It is no wonder they are losing their base out there. They do not report on anything of any importance.

Trump’s tweet on Tuesday morning about Gillibrand doing anything for a contribution, that was probably his lawyer that wrote that.

Last week a caller said that Jeff Sessions is the new Barney Fife. I was hysterical laughing! It’s so true in every way. Thank you for making my day.

When you say Happy Holidays, what holiday are you happy about? The 4th of July, possum day? It’s silly!

False accusations of harassment can destroy both people’s reputations and do much harm to the credibility of those who are actually harassed. As a side bar, every time I try to watch NCIS I see an example of verbal sexual harassment, yet several friends have watched every single episode and never once identified anything amiss. Interesting?

How could Hillary Clinton have lost the last presidential election? She had the FBI, the Department of Justice, the Intelligence Committee, Obama administration, the media, and herself all scheming and lying with her to win and make Donald Trump look terrible. She apparently was one awful dumb candidate to lose when the fix was in for her by all these crooked politicians. Trump did name her perfectly, crooked Hillary.
