Recently, I read that State Assemblywomen Claudia Tenney brought charges against one of her Primary challengers George Phillips in the race to replace Richard Hanna.
Assemblywomen Tenney in meetings that I have attended touts herself off as a voice for the people. But after reading what she did to George Phillips she clearly isn’t the voice for senior citizens.
These recent events show she would rather silence senior citizens than be a voice for them.
According to the paper, Congressional Candidate George Phillips was out getting his petitions signed when he encountered two separate senior citizens that wanted to support him but were unable to sign his petition because they were physically unable, and both of them needed had to have their power of attorneys sign for them.
After Phillips submitted his petitions to be on the Republican ballot for the June 28th Primary, Assemblywoman Tenney, rather than working for her constituents in Albany or campaigning for Congress, spent her time dragging Phillips into court to try and play games to throw him off the ballot.
We need a leader, not a lawyer. This is not the kind of person that I would like to have representing me, I want a representative that will be the voice for all people.
