The Candor Historical Society is holding a special historic walking tour of Maple Grove Cemetery on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30. This will be immediately following the Annual Memorial Day Parade and American Legion ceremonies at the cemetery.
The walk will be a narrated, guided tour highlighting and honoring our veterans at their gravesites. A number of veterans, ranging from the Revolutionary War (Samuel Hull, 1755-1840), to Operation Iraqi Freedom (Nathan P. Fairlie, 1985-2007) are scheduled to be on the walk. The tour will start at the front entrance to the cemetery.
