The annual Touch A Truck event was met with good weather on Saturday, May 7, 2016, and drew a good crowd. Touch A Truck is an interactive, one–day event, which allows children to see, touch, and explore their favorite big trucks and vehicles as well as to meet the personnel who protect, serve, and build the community.
Vehicles on display included construction trucks, emergency responders, tractor-trailers, utility trucks, racecars, helicopter and tractors, and many more. Each vehicle had an operator in attendance to talk about the vehicle, its operation, and role in the community.
This event is to raise funds for the Family Resource Centers of Tioga County, a program of CCE Tioga. The vision of the Family Resource Centers of Tioga County is that all children will be raised in nurturing and resilient families within safe and supportive communities.
