On Friday, May 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the ballroom at the Owego Elks, Mike Mrva will be heating things up with his home-style Texan-Kansas City BBQ.
The Owego Elks Lodge, located at 223 Front St. in Owego, will host Smokey Legend Gourmet BBQ. During the Art Walk, they will be serving a sampling of Mike’s famous dinners, sandwiches and sides.
On the menu for the evening is beef brisket, and pulled pork and chicken in the Legends famous white sauce. Big eaters and small eaters will be pleased with options to purchase a sandwich, full dinner, sides or a sampler platter.
Food will be available from 5 to 8 p.m., which coincides with the Owego Art Walk on the 1st Friday of the month.
Smokey Legend Gourmet BBQ captures Southern smokehouse style, combined with a unique flavor inspired by Mike’s original creations and Czech roots. His cuts are smoked low and slow for a delectable tenderness, using a wide variety of sweet and tangy sauces. His specialties include, but are not limited to garlic pulled pork and Texas-style beef brisket.
