Newark Valley Historical Society to hold benefit auction

Saturday, May 7 will be the annual auction to benefit the Newark Valley Historical Society (NVHS) at the fire station on Route 38, south. The doors will open at 5 p.m. for a preview of the items with the auction beginning at 6 p.m. Evan Goodrich will be the volunteer auctioneer. Goodrich recently won the award of the number one New York State Bid Caller.

A wide variety of items will be up for auction including dinners, sailboat rides, household goods, gift certificates, art works and so much more. There will be several silent auction items as well.

The proceeds from the auction will help support the Society’s education and youth programs, Depot Friday Night series and Veterans Day Dinner, as well as the maintenance of the Bement-Billings Farmstead and the Depot.

Homemade desserts and beverages will be available.
