Traveling Art a la Parc to perform in Owego

Traveling Art a la Parc performs during a recent Owego ArtWalk.

Traveling Art a la Parc to perform in OwegoTraveling Art a la Parc is a unique, site-specific multi-disciplinary outdoor performance, with a cast of eight differently-abled dancers and musicians. This group of talented artists will perform on the RiverWalk in the historic village of Owego on May 6 at 6:15 p.m.

Accomplished artists, Tina Christina-Price and Jeffrey R. Wahl have pooled their talents to celebrate their personal and unique artistic journeys as performers to create this exciting performance. Their goal was to embrace who they are and the challenges they overcame; celebrating the uniqueness of others and their abilities by exploring, creating and performing meaningful site-specific art pieces.

Uplifting, motivating, artistically magnificent and fun, this second of three performances of Traveling Art a la Parc is a part of Owego Historic Marketplace’s First Friday Art Walks (weather permitting). It begins in Ahwaga Park in the historic village of Owego.

The performers incorporate the RiverWalk’s architecture and random objects as they dance their way along the Susquehanna with the performance concluding in Draper Park. Last month’s performance was quite spectacular with the dancers, choreography and music leaving their audience surprised, engaged and delighted.

This show was made possible with 2016 Artist Crossroads Grant funding administrated by The Southern Finger Lakes ARTS Council.
