Members of the Owego Gymnastics and Activity Center’s competitive team and the 2016 Gymnasts of the Year at the Center’s Annual Dinner.
Owego Gymnastics and Activity Center held its Annual Dinner at Tioga Opportunities on April 1. Each year the Center holds this social event and membership meeting, opening with a potluck dinner.
The Annual Dinner is an opportunity for the membership to all gather to discuss business as well as honor the selected Gymnasts of the Year. The Gymnasts of Year are selected based on improvement, positive attitudes, consistent attendance and ability to listen and follow directions.
This year’s Gymnasts of the Year are Austin Stevens (Lions), Aria Waters (Tigers), Madelyn Brooks (Bears), Taylor Signs (Diamonds), Cross Dzikiewicz (Tornadoes) and Samantha Jackson (S.T.A.R.S). The competitive team members were also recognized and given special awards such as Teammate to All, Best Toe Point and Best Attendance.
The Center, a not-for-profit organization, offers competitive and recreational gymnastics programs, fun days, fitness programs for young adults and adults, Tae Kwon Do, and more. With summer around the corner the Center is also preparing its summer programs.
