On Wednesday morning, a portion of Route 858, Pennsylvania Avenue in Little Meadows, Pa. remained blocked off following a standoff that began Tuesday evening at a residence at 621 Pennsylvania Ave.

Pennsylvania state police were called to the home at approximately 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening, according to reports, after a neighbor heard gunshots fired.

At the residence where the shots were fired from, it is reported that resident David Shears, age 50, threatened the other resident, Colin Clements, with a gun. He then barricaded the home, leading to a lengthy standoff.

Following the use of tear gas, David Shears was taken into custody and then to a hospital where he is being treated because of the fumes. Once treated, David Shears will be charged.
