The TC Hawks AAU Basketball program recently held a fundraiser to benefit the organization and its players. Krispy Kreme Doughnuts were delivered on Saturday morning to many in the community. Additionally, because nearly 150 dozen doughnuts were sold, Krispy Kreme gave the Hawks (under the direction of Chris Bennett) an extra ten dozen.
The players, along with some of the parents, decided to deliver the bonus doughnuts to a few of the organizations that consistently benefit this area – including both the Owego Police Department and the State Police barracks on Route 434. The players also delivered doughnuts to the owners and employees to John’s Fine Foods, the Owego Pharmacy, and the Community Shop, three locally owned and operated grocery stores that consistently go out of their way to aid the youngsters in this community.
The TC Hawks AAU Basketball program would like to thank all of the businesses and individuals who have helped them this season.
