Tioga County 4-H’ers participate in 4-H Public Presentation Day

Each year Tioga County 4-H members have the opportunity to develop a public presentation for the county 4-H Public Presentation Day event. The 4-H’ers attend workshops to learn how to prepare a presentation, practice their skills in club meetings and at home, and prepare themselves to be evaluated on their efforts.

This year, 37 members participated in the annual event. The following are the categories, youth and presentation titles:

Senior Horse Communications (youth 13 to 19 years old) – Marta Lengyel, Berkshire Broncos 4-H Club, Hippotherapy; and Marlie Lukach, Berkshire Broncos 4-H Club, Chromo What?  Basics of Equine Coat Color Genetics.

Fifteen presenters from the General Presentations and two presenters from the Horse Communications are eligible to represent Tioga County at the 4-H District Public Presentation event in Chenango Forks on Saturday, April 2.  They will be evaluated alongside 4-H presenters from eight other New York counties. From the district event, 4-H presenters from the General Presentations and Horse Communications events will be selected to move on to the state level event at Cornell University later this year.
