‘Understanding Long Term Levels of Care’ offered by Tioga Opportunities, Inc.

Are you or a loved one facing decisions regarding long term, out of home placement? Exploring options for long-term care is confusing and complicated. It is difficult to understand what acronyms like ACF, ALP, ALR, EALR, and SNF really mean.

On Thursday, Feb. 25 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Countryside Community Center (9 Sheldon Guile Blvd., Owego), the Department of Aging will welcome Maria Motsavage from Levene Gouldin & Thompson, who will explain the differences between these levels of care, as well as whether Medicare, Medicaid, or other types of insurance will pay for them. Motsavage will be available to answers questions you might have regarding navigation of the health care system.
