OLL News Brief

OLL News BriefAttention Scoutmasters of Boy and Girl Scouts looking for an Eagle Scout or Gold Award merit badge project, or historians interested in local sports.

Here’s a win-win community service task. Write a 15-year history of Owego Little League (OLL) Baseball, TeeBall, Girls Softball and Teener League Baseball.

You’ll research, organize, write, document by sections and publish the history by year. It’ll be necessary to create a data file to do searches, updates and add key events found missing from the first 50 years.

Email your interest or questions to OLL Public Relations Director Jim Raftis at jraftis2@stny.rr.com.

Register now for the 65th season of Owego Little League Baseball, TeeBall, ASA Girls Softball and Southern Tier Teener League. Visit the OLL website, www.eteamz.com/owego, or go in person to the Tioga County Boys and Girls Club from 6 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16 or Thursday, Feb. 25.
