Tioga Opportunities, Inc. to host identity theft presentations in Nichols and Spencer

Identity theft has become more common in recent years, and unfortunately, anyone can become a victim. The Department of Aging at Tioga Opportunities, Inc., in conjunction with the Division of Consumer Protection from the NYS Department of State, will be offering two seminars on identity theft and scams.

Join them on Feb.18 at noon at the First Presbyterian Church in Spencer (75 N. Main St.), or on March 4 at 1 p.m. at the Community Care Network of Nichols (139 Roki Blvd., Nichols).

Topics covered will include “How identity theft occurs,” “Why seniors are so vulnerable,” and “Types of scams,” among others.
