Tully’s Good Times Restaurants has teamed up with JDRF Central New York to raise money through the month of February at all Tully’s restaurants in Syracuse, Rochester, Batavia, Buffalo and Vestal, N.Y.
“This is a company-wide effort by us to raise money for the local JDRF – to cure Type 1 Diabetes,” said Sam Bregande, from Tully’s Good Times. “This year’s baseball theme, Strike Out Diabetes features three ways to raise money for the cause.”
Every day through February, Tully’s wait staff will be selling blue Tully’s / JDRF wristbands for one dollar. Every Tuesday, Tully’s will donate ten percent of the sales from Original, Buffalo and Asian Tender dinners and Healthy Menu entrees. The proceeds will go directly to JDRF Central New York. Lastly, they will be accepting donations that may be added to a customer’s bill during their meal at Tully’s Good Times.
“This is our way of partnering with a great diabetes fighting cause where most of the money goes to local programs. And local is very important to Tully’s.” Bregande added.
“This is our first partnership with Tully’s,” agreed Liz Krisanda, associate executive director from JDRF Central New York. “We think the three strike combination that they have created will be very effective in raising donations.”
JDRF is the leading diabetes foundation funding Type 1Diabetes research.
