Animal Care Sanctuary to host second annual Monte Carlo Night

Animal Care Sanctuary to host second annual Monte Carlo NightAnimal Care Sanctuary (ACS) will be hosting their second annual Monte Carlo Night on Saturday, Feb. 6 at the Club of Sheppard Hills from 6 to 10 p.m.

The evening will start with a cash bar and hor d’oeuvres, a buffet and casino games. Bobby K Entertainment will provide the games including Texas Hold Em, Blackjack, Roulette Let It Ride and Big Wheel.

Attendees will be issued play money and can play for prizes at the end of the evening. The highest scores can pick their prizes first. A silent auction will also be included in the evening. This year artist Ron Seymour has donated a painting, “Hot Chocolate Night” and Carol McLean has donated a weekend at Lake George.

The cost of tickets is $50.00. All proceeds benefit the 500 plus animals that are cared for at the sanctuary every day. Food and medical care are expensive and events like this help defray the cost.

Major sponsors this year are Walsh Management (d.b.a. McDonalds), Schoonovers Plumbing & Heating, and Towanda Iron & Metal.

By Feb. 6 cabin fever sets in as everyone is anxious for spring. This is a fun night of rolling the dice all to help the animals.

Animal Care Sanctuary, a non-profit organization started by Lesley Sinclair in Toms River, N.J., is celebrating its 49th year and 32 of those years were in East Smithfield, Bradford County.
