On Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016, the Tioga County Department of Social Services (DSS) announced that Steve Herbert had been named Employee of the Fourth Quarter 2015.
Steve began working at DSS as a Caseworker in the Child Protective Unit on Nov. 24, 2008. In March of 2011 Steve was promoted to Senior Caseworker and then promoted to PINS Diversion Coordinator.
According to DSS, Steve is recognized for his outstanding work ethic. In a release, they stated, Steve exemplifies the agency’s Vision Statement – To be the most respected Department of Social Services, having a culture which values responsibility, efficiency, teamwork, compassion, excellence and universal respect. Steve is always willing to help and will re-arrange his schedule often working late into the evening. Steve prides himself in providing a positive role model for the youth in our community. Steve is very deserving of this award.”
