On Dec. 31, 2015, at 7:55 p.m., the State Police in Owego, N.Y. arrested Eric J. Derrig, age 33 of 359 Pennsylvania Ave. in Waverly, N.Y. for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (heroin), Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Second Degree and numerous vehicle and traffic charges following a traffic stop on Route 17 westbound in the Town of Owego, Tioga County.
According to State Police, Eric J. Derrig was found to be in possession of 643 bags of heroin, $354 in U.S. Currency and a hypodermic needle.
Eric J. Derrig was arraigned in Owego Town Court and remanded to the Tioga County Jail without bail.
