Holiday activities at the Berkshire Free Library

Enjoy coffee, cocoa, and cookies at a Holiday Open House at the Berkshire Library on Friday, Dec. 11 from 1:30 to 7 p.m. Santa will make a visit from 5 to 7 p.m., so bring your camera along with your little ones.

All Berkshire and Richford area residents are invited to check out the library’s new services and to tour the History Museum on the second floor.

The library is also sponsoring a Holiday Gift Raffle with 15 prizes including a framed bluebird print from Jerry Acton, a fun wooden snowman by John Stoughton, unique Holiday ornaments, books and crafts for children, a striped lap robe by Sue Bierl and a beige tweed afghan by Lena Sherwood. and a fresh greenery centerpiece from Mary Ellen Odom. Suggested donation is $1 for one ticket, $5 for six. The drawing will be December 18.

Many other gift suggestions on display include several popular books by local authors, as well as a colorful and diverse selection of handmade hats, mittens, scarves and necklaces, and many other fun gift ideas.

The library is located on State Route 38 at the corner of Jewett Hill Road. Handicapped access is available from the Jewett Hill Road parking area.
