All are invited to the Depot in Newark Valley for their annual Christmas Open House on Friday, Dec. 11 between 4 and 8 p.m. and to enter the “Best Chili in the Valley”.
To enter the chili contest, have a crock pot of your favorite chili recipe at the Depot by 4:30 p.m. and the judging will begin at 5 p.m. Register for the chili cook off by Dec. 4 by calling 642-9516 and leave your name.
While you wait for the results, enjoy live music by the Valley Harmony, scrumptious foods, and decant desserts. The Depot is all decked out for the holidays. There are angels and snowmen everywhere you look. Be sure to notice their new stage in the north end of the Depot.
On Saturday, Dec. 12 from 4 to 8 p.m., it will be Holiday Magic all around the town. Once again in the Noble Room, Christmas music will spill out and the gingerbread houses will be on display.
Horse and wagon rides will carry guests between the Green and the Depot where Santa will be listening to the wishes of the children. Delicious food and desserts will also be available.
