Ti-Ahwaga Community Players to present ‘A Christmas Story’

The Ti-Ahwaga Community Players will present Philip Grecian’s adaptation of Jean Shepherd’s “A Christmas Story” on Dec. 4, 5 and 6, and Dec. 11, 12, and 13 at the Ti-Ahwaga Performing Arts Center, 42 Delphine St., Owego, N.Y.

This stage adaptation of the Ralphie Parker – “You’ll Shoot your eye out kid” classic movie, has become a Holiday tradition for many families in the region. This year’s run marks Ti-Ahwaga’s fourteenth annual production of “A Christmas Story”. There will be some new faces, and some familiar faces, on Cleveland Street in Hohman, Indiana, living through Ralphie Parker’s quest to finally receive that coveted Red Ryder BB gun!

This year’s cast includes Todd Smith as Ralph (the narrator), Logan Smith as the Old Man, Peggy Medina as Mother, Adam Ackerman as Ralphie, John Paul Kidney as Randy, Gordon Wu as Scut, Skyler Kwiatkowski as Flick, Cameron Cole as Schwartz, Nadia Murphy as Esther Jane, Kendra Katchuk as Helen, and Linda Fenescey as Miss Shields.

As with all of Ti-Ahwaga’s productions, a delicious assortment of wines, beers, other beverages, snacks and desserts are provided with table service prior to the show and during intermission. Shows start at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. General admission is $20, $18.00 for seniors 60 and older and students (including college age with a student id), and $10 for children 12 and under.
