Dear Editor,
Why do we need Janet Thomas on the Owego Town Board? Because Janet will ensure that current issues are dealt with in a fair and equitable way. She also sees beyond the here and now and will move us into a future that we can afford, while ensuring that our health, safety, and welfare are protected.
Over the last several years, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Janet stand up for those whose basic rights to clean air, water, and peaceful enjoyment of their property were threatened. Home Rule exists in New York State so that we can make decisions at the local level that serve the needs and protect the rights of the people of our community.
Let’s honor our Home Rule by electing Janet Thomas to the Owego Town Board.
