Candor’s first annual Holiday Parade will take place with a step off at 6 p.m. on Nov. 28 from the American Legion Post 907, 90 Spencer Rd. in Candor, N.Y., and will end at Academy Street in the Candor School parking lot where refreshments will be served at the Emergency Squad building. Santa will also be following guests at the end of the parade and available for a visit at the parade’s conclusion.
The Candor Community Chorus will lead the way with Christmas Caroling, and they are hoping for many floats to follow and be nicely lit up. The Sons of the American Legion host the parade, with a little help from their friends.
They do ask that all floats be registered, and forms can be obtained from the Candor Market, the Candor branch of Tioga State Bank, Quick’s Laundromat, and the Candor Post Office. Deadline for registration is Nov. 15.
The next planning meeting will be on Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. at the American Legion in Candor.
