Tioga Opportunities, Inc. to host Alzheimer’s Association Presentation

During the middle stage of dementia, the person with the disease often starts to exhibit new behaviors that can be confusing for a caregiver. These behaviors are a form of communication, and are essential to understanding the needs of the person with dementia.

Join the Department of Aging on Oct. 7, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Countryside Community Center when the Alzheimer’s Association presents “Understanding and Responding to Dementia-Related Behavior.”

If you have a loved one who is experiencing memory loss or other behavioral changes, come and learn how to effectively decipher behaviors and determine how best to respond.

This program is free to the public, but registration is required. Call (607) 687-4120, ext. 331 to reserve your seat.
