T.A.L.L. announces fall computer class schedule

The Tioga Adult Learning Lab, (T.A.L.L.), has their no cost computer classes for Fall 2015. T.A.L.L., serving adult students throughout the Southern Tier, is operated by Literacy Volunteers of Broome/Tioga Counties, Inc. in partnership with Tioga County, N.Y. T.A.L.L. provides instruction in introductory level computer applications, and offers vocational assistance to those seeking employment.

T.A.L.L offers at no cost high speed Internet, has staff to work with adults to improve their personal workplace skills, offers resume and cover letter formatting, and provides students with software to learn basic keyboarding and typing skills. A grant-funded program, there are no fees for any of the workshops or services T.A.L.L. provides. Adults of any age are welcome to enroll in classes.

T.A.L.L. operates evenings, Monday through Thursday from 5:30 to 9 p.m. in Room 105 at the Owego Free Academy in Owego, N.Y.

T.A.L.L. is now accepting registrations for there upcoming fall classes, with the first being a six-week session of “Basics of Microsoft Windows 7, Word 2013 and Excel 2013”.  These classes will begin on Monday, Sept. 14 with classes meeting every Monday and Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

Instruction will center on the use of Microsoft Word 2013, office word-processing software, and Microsoft Excel 2013, a Microsoft spreadsheet program.
