Maddie’s Meadows Pet of the Week for the week of Sept. 6, 2015

Maddie’s Meadows Pet of the Week

Maddie’s Meadows Pet of the WeekThis beautiful little dog was rescued by from being euthanized by the owners because a car hit her and they couldn’t afford the vet bill. A friend to Maddie’s Meadows adopted this dog on the spot and agreed to pay the medical expenses.

‘Zoey’ is a 6-year old Pomeranian. She sustained a broken jaw and lost some teeth. It was determined that the jaw injury was intensified because she had a mouth full of rotten teeth. Surgery was required to repair her jaw and remove her rotten teeth.

She also had a serious heart murmur as a result of the dental disease, which they hoped would improve after her surgery. Zoey is doing well after her surgery although she will always have to eat soft food.

People often mention that they would like to help animals in crisis but cannot take them into their homes. Here is your opportunity to help little Zoey by donating toward her medical expenses.

Please send your checks to Vestal Veterinary Hospital, c/o Willow Sullivan (Zoey), 2316 Vestal Parkway E., Vestal, N.Y. 13850.  If you have any questions, call Nancy at 768-6575.
