Hundreds of parishioners gathered to welcome Fr. Peter Van Lieshout, Parochial Vicar at Blessed Trinity Parish, St. James Church in Waverly.
Last Saturday a picnic supper was held to honor the church’s Patron Saint, St. James, and Sunday a donut delight hour served to welcome Fr. Van Lieshout.
Originally from Livonia, N.Y., and ordained a Priest in 2014, Fr. Van Lieshout comes to Blessed Trinity/St. Patrick parishes from Rome where he completed his Master’s Degree in Church Dogma.
Masses at St. James in Waverly are Saturday at 5 p.m. and Sunday at 9 a.m., and also daily Mass on Monday and Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.
