Newark Valley P.E.O. Chapter B Senior Award recipient announced

Chapter B of the P.E.O. Sisterhood in Newark Valley is pleased and proud to announce the selection of Molly Ann Graves as the recipient of the annual award given to a Newark Valley High School senior who plans to attend college in the fall and whose character and abilities predict success and professional achievement.

Molly will be attending TC3 in the fall and is the daughter of Marissa Berg Graves of Newark Valley.

P.E.O. is a Philanthropic Educational Organization, international in nature (mainly the U.S. and Canada) whose primary goal is the education of women. The organization owns and operates Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri.

Additional projects include ELF – the Educational Load Fund; PCE – the Program for Continuing Education; IPS – the International Peace Scholarship; the Continuing Education program; the Scholar Awards program; and the Star award program.

The New York State Chapter of P.E.O. sponsors five additional projects, which include the New York State Cottey College Scholarship Fund, the Agnes M. Hungate Scholarship for Cottey College; the Janet Griswold Scholarship; the New York State Master’s Degree program; and the New York State Security Fund.

Chapter B in Newark Valley is the second oldest Chapter in the state and was organized in 1908. New York State has over 80 chapters. The Newark Valley Chapter is part of the Southern Tier Reciprocity Group, which includes Chapters BH Oneonta, BO Binghamton, CF Elmira, CG Oxford, and CL Binghamton.
