On Aug. 8, from approximately 10:45 to 11:45 a.m., State Route 38, from the junction of State Route 38 and 38B to the intersection of State Route 38 and Rock Street in the Village of Newark Valley will be closed to through traffic for the Newark Valley Days Parade.
The alternate route for traffic traveling south on Route 38 would be to take Rock Street to Settle Road, turn right onto Dodson Hill Road, then turn right onto Route 38B and return to State Route 38.
For traffic traveling north on State Route 38 the reverse would be the alternate route.
