Openings, shows, receptions, demonstrations, and entertainment are free and the public is invited.

The Front Street Deck (200 Front St.) presents the Panigma Steel Band from 6 to 8:30 p.m., bringing a taste of the tropics to this outdoor venue.

The band has been one the hottest steel bands in the northeast for the past seven years. The Deck will be filled with sounds of the Caribbean and will echo through the streets of the downtown historic village.

The Black Cat Gallery (190 Front St.) will host multi-talented artist Susan Szczotka from 5 to 8 p.m., presenting her metal smith jewelry design, pottery, weaving, lamp work glass and hand painted silk scarves. Without censorship these local talented high school students will present a variety of mediums and expressions of art.

The Tioga Arts Council (179 Front St.) will host artwork created by Achieve Tioga Day Habilitation from 5 to 8:30 p.m. These pieces were made during a series of workshops at the Tioga Arts Council during the months of February through July 2015.
